BMKG: Rain to Dominate Much of Jakarta Today

The Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) is forecasting a damp start for the capital today, with conditions fluctuating between overcast skies and light showers throughout the day.

Today's temperature ranges from 22 to 27 degrees Celsius

"Rain in the morning," stated BMKG's official site, Monday (1/12).

By midday, the rain is expected to let up in most areas. Seribu Islands, along with Central, North, and West Jakarta, will remain under a blanket of clouds. Meanwhile, residents in South and East Jakarta can expect a bit of relief with partly cloudy skies moving in.

Then conditions will shift again by afternoon. While Seribu Islands will enjoy clear, sunny skies, the rest of the city will settle back into overcast conditions.

Tonight, light showers are predicted to return specifically to Seribu Islands. Elsewhere, the capital will see a mix of conditions: North Jakarta is expected to clear up completely, while Central, West, South, and East Jakarta will remain under partly cloudy skies.

Today's temperature ranges from 22 to 27 degrees Celsius, with air humidity between 77 and 97 percent.
